Based near Oban and covering Argyll and the Islands, this family business was set up in 2007 by Richard Ayling who has worked in the building and construction industry for over forty years, over thirty of them in the Argyll area.

Richard, who has a degree in Civil Engineering, had been previously employed for many years by principle house building and construction companies throughout the UK and in Argyll.

Joining the company from the next generation is David who splits his time between Oban and near Peebles in the Scottish Borders. His expertise lies in the computer side of the business and is diversifying to cover the use of UAV's as an alternative way of carrying out some of the core operations and also extending into new ventures.

Whether using the more traditional or the newer exciting methods Digital Land Surveys are in a position to carry out work throughout the Highlands and Islands and beyond within any of the following categories.

Work has been successfully completed for many national and virtually all the locally based Architects, Consulting Engineers, Planning Consultants and also many Contractors, private individuals, Sustrans and local authorities. Most of the surveys undertaken are for new housing, roads or title deed purposes but many more obscure applications can be catered for.

We are equipped with modern, regularly calibrated instruments to enable a wide range of work to be accurately undertaken. We have computer equipment available to enable most surveys to be downloaded "in the field". 4WD vehicles are used to enable access to remote and difficult locations.
